South Sarasota is considered a very walk-able neighborhood by it’s residents, and the nearby bars, restaurants and cafes lead most to consider this area as having quality nightlife options. Crime is very low and most offenses are non-violent, according to residents. Popular and highly rated establishments include places such as Apollonia Grill – Landings Sarasota, a Mediterranean specialty restaurant, or Phillippi Creek Oyster Bar, a waterfront restaurant specializing in seafood and southern cuisine.
Other nearby amenities include well respected parks and outdoors opportunities. Red Rock Park is a popular option for residents, as it’s located very close to the neighborhood. It has play equipment for children, clean bathrooms and open fields that make it popular with dog owners. The Field Club and Phillippi Harbor Club also provide some unique entertainment, particularly for those who are attracted to boating.
